I went to see Gang Gang Dance perform at the Magic Stick last night. It was fucking epic. Towards the beginning they muttered something about techno, and how being in Detroit was very inspiring for them. Well, it definitely showed in the fifteen minute old-school techno jam that they played near the end of the show: Possibly the best live experience I've ever had. If this is the direction they are taking their music in now, then godspeed Gang Gang! It's good to know that some bands only get better.
Very nice people as well. The kind lady pictured above gave me a free Boredoms poncho from the 77 Boadrum thang that happened awhile back. I gave her a copy of Dissociation. Hopefully she gives it a listen!
That's all for now. Maybe I will actually go work on some music for once...
